Our Story
Rural Aid Pastoralist Initiative Development (RAPID) is Board lead national organization that was registered under the Authority for civil society organizations with registry number 6590. It is mandated by the said Act to address poverty and public distress in Ethiopia, with specific reference to Pastoralist communities in the Somali and Oromia region by developing and implementing community based programs for self-reliance and sustainable development. Currently has operational office in Dollo-Ado and Goradolla woreda of Liban and Guji zone of Somali and Oromia region. RAPID is engaged in rigorous community strengthening processes e.g
- Involvement in PPME processes
- Training
- strengthening and using existing community structures
Our development and emergency programs are coordinated from Dollo-Ado and Goradolla Field offices where the entire programs staff is based with the requisite technical skills relevant to the programs. .
