Emergency response to drought and conflict displaced population in Dollo-Ado and Goradolla

Distribution of Relief Items
- Tarpaulins: RAPID distributed 400 tarpaulins, each measuring 5 by 6 meters, to 400 affected households in both Goradolla and Dollo-Ado. This in-kind donation from Pastoralist Concern provided critical shelter and protection from the elements to those affected by drought and conflict.
- Water Purification Tablets: Collaborating with a partner organization (PC), RAPID distributed a total of 72,000 water purification tablets to the 400 households. Each household received 180 tablets, ensuring a 90-day supply for safe drinking water.
- Bar Soaps: To promote hygiene practices, RAPID provided 2,400 bar soaps to the same 400 households, with each household receiving six bars of soap. This distribution aimed to reinforce the importance of handwashing in maintaining good health.
Through this emergency response project, RAPID aimed to alleviate the immediate needs of vulnerable populations affected by drought and conflict, all while adhering to transparent and fair distribution practices.
